About Sugaring

Sugar paste (used for sugaring hair removal) will not adhere to the top, live, layer of the skin. Instead, it adheres to hair and dead skin cells only. Live skin cells are moist and because our sugar paste is water soluble, it will not adhere to live healthy skin. With sugaring hair removal, there is less risk of hair breakage and skin irritation because the sugar paste will extract  hair in the natural direction of hair growth and exfoliate the dead skin cells. This also helps to free ingrown hairs.

Some people report less pain than any other type of hair removal. This treatment is also safe to perform on dry itchy eczema and dry psoriasis because there is less trauma to the skin. One problem with wax is that it has been known to remove more than just hair, since it can adhere directly to live skin cells – which makes waxing painful and irritating, especially on sensitive parts of the body.

Using an advanced sugaring technique, the paste wraps around the hair shaft making it pliable, while seeping below the mouth of the follicle and submerging the hair to make the extraction more complete and gentle. The hair is eased out of the follicle only in the natural direction of growth, which helps to keep the hair intact. Because of the direction of extraction, the client feels less discomfort than waxing.

Our sugar paste is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic; it is so natural you can eat it! After only a few treatments, the hair follicle begins to deplete. The hair grows in more refined each time. Because the sugar can extract the shortest hair in the cycle of hair growth, permanency can eventually be achieved. Clients can see superior results after just a few treatments.
